Integrate Place began as Dr Lynch noticed a need in her GP practice – as many patients were returning from hospital without feeling anyone had seen them, understood them or heard their story.
She pursued further education in grief and loss, and then started an organisation that aimed to provide a multidisciplinary approach to the care of each person within their community. At different times that team included social workers, psychologists, art therapists, art therapy students, mental health nurses and music therapy. The clinic became the host of a multidisciplinary peer review group and offered individual supervision.
In early 2014 Dr Lynch decided that further research was needed in the area of safe effective treatment of complex trauma and so has closed the multidisciplinary clinic while she undertakes further research and continues her clinical practice and Integrate Place within Baywest Medical Centre (33965309).
